Complete Change

Since my last post, I have decided that my view on global warming has completely changed. It is a very sad thing that certain animals might become extinct during this epidemic. However, why do we have to make such a huge effort to save something whose time might just be up? If you look at the history of our world there have been many different animals or organisms that have lived and then become extinct. To me it is just the natural progression of life. I know that not everyone wants to hear this and wishes that we could always save everything, but sometime we try to hard to become god by either trying to recreate life artificially or finding a way to save something whose time might be up. In my earlier post I was also very tied to the fact that this is a man made occurrence. The more I read the more I start to realize that global warming is just a phase our world is going through. Not all of it is caused by what we have done. Granted I think we have an impact, but just a minor one. Media puts too much of a hype on this and tries to make everyone think what they want by saying it is all our fault and we are the reason why the world is warming. I have a crazy theory that this panic about if we do not go green our earth will suffer is something created by some elitist group that is making money off of everything that is being sold related to this.

Here is a link to a video on you tube of one persons view that humans are not the reason for global warming.

Ice caps and global warming

After reading tonight about global warming and the ice caps, I have realized that it is a big deal. When research talks about how sea levels will rise between 3 to 6 feet over the next century that is a terrible thing. Many people live in areas that are close to sea level if not already below sea level. People have also invested a lot of money to acquire property or homes along coastlines, and if those start receding then these people have invested in something that one day will just disappear. However, blame can only be placed on ourselves. Places like huge factories or even cars let off carbon dioxide, which is the reason why this is occurring. The carbon becomes trapped in the ozone layer and acts like a bubble to keep warm air in and not let it escape back out into space. This is what is creating this warming effect and wreaking havoc on our ice caps. Earlier I referred to housing and property, but that is not the only thing that could disappear. Beautiful beaches that we have will start slowly going away. Certain animals that live in the cold climates like polar bears or penguins could possibly start becoming extinct if their cold weather habitat starts to disappear then they would either need to adapt or they would be eliminated.
